| During the December meeting the Chapter was given
the choices three new names for the Chapter, Members voted for the Common
Sense Chapter (after Thomas Paine's Pamphlet). The proposed new name will
be presented to the Florida Society Board of Managers on February 12th,
for approval.
The reason we would like to change the name is we will be trying to organize chapters in Orlando and Jacksonville and perhaps later in Gainesville/ Ocala all in the central Florida area our current name would seem to include. |
We have prepared mail to near thirty SR members of other states societies living in the Greater Orlando and to 120 non-members known to be qualified for SR in the same area with the aim of recruiting new Florida members and one or two chapters in Orlando. They should go out early next week with a similar mailing to the Jacksonville area a fortnight later. Some of you may be ask to help fold, stuff envelopes, and affix labels and stamps. |
